Getting started with loyalty schemes

You can use Tabology to set up loyalty schemes that reward customers for visiting your venue, helping to encourage repeat visits and build customer loyalty.

You can reward members with loyalty points that they can earn and redeem against purchases, or offer exclusive discounts and promotions.

There are two ways to set up loyalty schemes in Tabology, depending on whether you want to offer one scheme or multiple schemes:

  • Single loyalty scheme – Set up one loyalty scheme with rewards and promotions for all members

  • Multiple loyalty schemes – Use Member types to create different schemes for different customer groups, each with their own rewards and promotions.

1. Setting up a single loyalty scheme

If you want to offer the same loyalty rewards and promotions to all your members, you can use Tabology's standard loyalty setup without creating any Member types.

In the Members & Loyalty tab of the setup module, you can:

You can also create member promotions that offer exclusive discounts, special offers or bonus loyalty points.

2. Setting up multiple loyalty schemes

If you want to offer different rewards and promotions to different customer groups, you can create Member types for each scheme.

For example, you might create:

  • Standard – Offering all members a basic loyalty points scheme.

  • Industry – Offering hospitality workers additional discounts.

  • VIP – Rewarding regular customers with exclusive promotions.

You can then create member groups for each scheme and link promotions to the relevant groups, ensuring members receive the rewards intended for their scheme.

Each Member type can also have its own welcome email and digital wallet pass.

3. Adding members to your loyalty schemes

Once you've set up your loyalty scheme or schemes, you can start adding members.

You can create members directly from the EPOS or back office, or allow customers to sign up themselves using a form on your website.

If you're using multiple Member types, you can assign new members to the appropriate scheme when they join. You can also configure your sign-up form to allow customers to select their preferred scheme.

Members can scan their digital loyalty passes, making it easy for them to identify themselves when making purchases and log in when placing mobile orders.
