To set a maximum number of hours that can be added to any week's rota, navigate to Setup > Rota from your back office.
Set 'Max rota hours' to the maximum number of hours you would like to be able to be allocate to any rota.
If a user tries to add or edit a shift that would result in more than the maximum number of hours, they will receive a message informing them that they will need to reduce the hours to save the shift (unless they have permission to exceed max hours - see below).
You can set which roles have permission to exceed the max rota hours in Staff & Roles > Roles under the 'Rotas' section.
For example, if you wanted a manager to be able to exceed staff hours on a publish rota to reflect actual hours worked, but to only be able to plan a rota (unpublished) up to the max hours you would set:
- Can exceed max hours to OFF
- Can exceed max hours - published only to ON
