You can sell gift cards from the till that customers can redeem against future purchases.
Gift cards can be emailed to the recipient and saved to their Apple or Google wallet and / or printed at the till.
To sell gift cards you will first need to make sure that you have enabled gift cards on your back office.
Once you have enabled gift cards you will see a 'NEW GIFT CARD' button under the 'MORE' button on the EPOS screen.
Press the 'NEW GIFT CARD' button to be presented with a screen where you can add the details for the gift card you want to sell.
- Amount- select from the options you have configured on the back office
- Recipient's name
- Recipient's email address
Once you have added all of the details, press 'Next'
The gift card you have created will also be displayed on the screen with options to:
- Print the gift card
- Add to your current order
After adding the gift card to you order you will see it in the current order as usual. You can add other items if you wish, and then take payment in the usual way.
If you are issuing your gift cards by emailing the recipient a pass for their Apple or Google wallet, this will be sent automatically once payment has been taken.
Gift cards sales will reflect on your Z report in the Gift card account section, in a similar way to a deposit being lodged. The sale and tax will be recognised when the gift card is redeemed.
