A stock transfer moves stock from one venue in a group to another. The venue requiring the stock triggers the transfer in a similar way to placing an order from a supplier. Once a transfer is delivered, the stock will be adjusted on both the receiving site and the site the stock has been transferred from.
To request or record a transfer go to Stock > Orders & Deliveries from the side navigation of your back office.
Then press Stock transfer.
Select the site you would like to transfer stock from, provide a reference for the transfer, and specify a desired delivery date, then press Next.
You can now search for and add the products you would like to transfer and add these to the transfer.
Enter the quantities you would like for each product as you add them and when you have finished press Submit transfer (or if you want to come back and finish the transfer later you can press Save Draft).
At this point the transfer will already appear on the site the transfer is due from as a Transfer out. The status will reflect whether the transfer is still in draft or is now requested.
The transferring site can view the products to be transferred, and if they have enough stock available can arrange for the products to be physically transferred to the requesting site.
Once the products are delivered to the requesting site, the transfer can be marked as delivered by pressing the Mark as Delivered button.
This will reflect the transfer in the stock of the receiving site as well as deducting the stock levels at the site the transfer has come from.
The transfer on the site the stock has come from will now show as transferred.
