You may choose to record walk ins as bookings so that tables occupied by walk in customers don't show as available for last minute bookings. You can record a walk in on either the table plan or bookings grid view.
To add a walk in from the bookings grid view, click More > Bookings.
If you have previously used the Bookings grid view format, this will display automatically. Alternatively click the Grid view icon from the top of the EPOS.
Locate the table you need to add a booking onto from the left hand side of the EPOS. Long-press on the required table. The Walk in button will display.
To add the walk in booking, click the button. The Walk in modal will display. The name will pre-populate with the pre-fix "Walk in", followed by the current time.
You can simply click the green Add button, to add your Walk in booking. Alternatively, you can edit any of the details displayed on the Walk in modal:
- Duration
- Select a booking type
- Edit the name of the Walk in
- Add staff notes
- Change the table number
- Change the number of covers
When the walk in booking is added, a tab for the booking will be opened in the background & a booking will be added to the booking grid view.
The Walk in booking will display in Orange to indicate a tab has been opened.
From here, you can click on the booking & Edit the booking or View the tab as normal.
You can also add a Walk in from the Tableplan.
