Once you have enabled pre-orders, you will be able to specify which booking types you would like to accept pre-orders for, and specify the products that a customer will be able to choose from for each booking type. You can also choose whether you would your customers to pay at for their pre-order at the point of pre-ordering, or whether they will pay when they arrive for their booking.
Customers will be presented with a link to place their pre-orders after making a booking. A link will also be included on booking confirmation emails. Click here to see how placing a pre-order will look for a customer.
To accept pre-orders for a booking type, navigate to the existing booking type or add a new booking type & click the Pre-orders tab.
Toggle Accept pre-orders to on.
If you would like your guests to pay for their pre-orders online when they place them, enable the Take payments for pre-orders toggle.
Alternatively, if you just want customers to inform you off their menu selections, or you are taking a fixed deposit to cover the pre-order cost, set Take payments for pre-orders to off.
In the Select products & categories to assign section, click the drop down or start typing the name of the product or category you want to add to your pre-order. Press Enter to assign the product or category.
Note: When assigning a whole category, you will be asked to confirm this selection.
Any products or categories assigned to your pre-order, will now appear in the Assigned products & categories section.
Note: If you need to remove a product, click the red bin icon at the end of the product row. Alternatively a category can be removed by clicking the white bin icon, in the corner of the category.
When all products or categories are added, click the blue Save button at the bottom of the screen.
You customers will now be able pre-order from the selected products when making a booking of this booking type.
