Sending deposit links from the EPOS

You can send deposit links to customers as a secure method of taking a deposit for a booking. Customer's will receive an email containing their deposit link and you can see on the booking, any deposits that have been requested or paid.


This article covers how to send deposit links from the EPOS. You can also send deposit links from the back office.


Before you can take deposits via deposit links you will need to enable deposit links and connect to a payment processor.


To generate a deposit link, open the booking you wish to take a deposit for and press Editin the top right corner.



Click the orange Add Deposit button. 



Select Generate deposit link.



The deposit link modal will popup. If you didn't provide the customer's email address on the booking, you will need to add the email address, into the email field.


You will also need to specify the deposit amount, in the deposit amount field.


Then click the green Generate button.



A popup will display to tell you the Deposit link was created.



You can see the steps the guest will go through to pay the deposit in Paying a deposit via deposit link.


You can see any deposits you have requested as well as any that have been paid by pressing on the Total Deposits figure when viewing a booking.



Once the customer has paid the deposit, the Total deposits field, will update with the deposit paid.



When the customer arrives for their booking, you can open them a tab with the deposit automatically applied as credit.
