Adding marketing consent to your booking form

Marketing consent can be added to bookings, so that your customers can choose whether to opt in to receive any marketing material from you. Only contacts who have provided marketing consent will be able to be exported to Mailchimp.


To enable marketing consent on your bookings, go into your back office, then click Setup > Bookings.



Scroll down to Enable marketing opt-in toggle and switch this to On.


 

By default the Retain marketing consent option will be On. This means once a customer has given consent, it will be retained even if they don't tick the box on future bookings.


Note: Customers will still be able to unsubscribe from any emails you send them via Mailchimp, which will avoid them being sent future emails from the same audience. If you create new audiences in Mailchimp you should check for any unsubscribes and update their marketing consent to reflect this.


In the Marketing opt-in text field, add some text that will be displayed to your customers, when making a booking.



Click the blue Save booking widget confirmation, to save your changes.
