If you have delivery enabled on mobile ordering, you may want to set a delivery area to restrict orders from being placed for outside the area you deliver to.
To set a delivery area you will first need to outline your areas using Google maps.
1. In the search bar enter the following web address: http://mapsengine.google.com/map/
2. To the left of the screen, click on the red box 'Create a new map'.
3. Enter your business' address, into the white search bar & select the correct address.
4. Your business will be identified by the green pin. If you can't see your entire delivery area, you will need to zoom out/in. To rename your map, click on the text 'Untitled Map'. A popup box will display for you to rename your map.
5. Underneath the white search bar, there will be an icon that looks similar to an incomplete triangle. If you hover over the icon, 'draw a line' will pop up. Click this icon to begin drawing your area.
6. To create your delivery area, choose a point where you want to begin & click the map.
Note: If the shape of the area is incorrect, you don't need to delete it or start again, you can adjust the area later on.
7. Once all the lines are connected, a popup box will display for you to name your area & give it a description. Give your area a name e.g. Delivery area, and make a note if it.
The circular points along the delivery area you have created, can be expanded further, by dragging if you need to alter the area. Press 'save' when you are happy with your area.
8. When you have finished your map, click on the 3 vertical dots to right hand side of your map name & click the option 'Export to KML/KMZ', highlighted in grey.
9. A popup screen will display to export your map. Ensure the option for 'Entire Map' is selected & tick the bottom option 'Export as KML, instead of KMZ', then click 'Download'.
Email your map to support@tabology.com to be uploaded and let us know the name you gave your polygon in step 7. We will confirm when your delivery area is set.
