Using Dojo pay at table

If your EPOS is integrated with Dojo payment terminals, these can be configured to enable you to pay a customer's bill at the table using only the Dojo card reader. This avoids the need take an EPOS iPad to the table to take payment.

To configure Dojo pay at table, send a request to support@tabology.com or ask on your Telegram channel.

To pay a bill on the Dojo card reader press 'Settle table'.

You will see a list of outstanding tabs along with the table each tab is linked to.

Note: Tabs with a value of 0.00 will not show on the Dojo terminal.

Select a tab from the list and press pay, then choose a tipping option if configured.

The bill to be paid, can then be split between the number of guests or paid in full by one person.

You can also print the bill from this screen.

Contactless payments are made at the top of the Dojo terminal. The card slot for chip & pin is highlighted in blue at the bottom of the Dojo terminal.

While the payment is in progress, the tab on the summary screen of the EPOS will show a lock next to it so other members of your team can see that it is being paid.

If the tab is linked to a table, the table on the table plan will be highlighted in orange.

Once the payment completes the status will be displayed on the Dojo terminal.

If the payment is approved, press 'Done' on your Dojo terminal. The payment will be applied against the customers bill and the tab will be settled (will no longer appear on the Dojo screen).

The tab will still remain on your EPOS with a 0.00 value set against it. Press 'close' to close this tab off.

If the payment is declined or cancelled, press 'Done' & the tab will be unlocked and will remain on the summary screen to be paid via another method.

If there is an interruption in the connection between the EPOS and the Dojo terminal while the payment is in progress, it is possible that the payment status does not update on the EPOS. If this happens you can press on the locked tab on the summary screen and select whether the payment was approved, declined or cancelled.

Once the transaction has gone through, the tab will automatically close & return to the EPOS screen.
