A Socket Mobile scanner can be used to make it easier to scan QR codes without having to take a customer's phone from them to scan the QR code with the iPad camera.
The Socket Mobile scanner can be used to scan loyalty member passes and gift cards.
1. Scan the below barcode to configure your scanner into Application Mode for iOS.
2. Turn the scanner on and on your iPad go to Settings > Bluetooth, select the scanner from the list of other devices to pair to it.
You are now ready to use the scanner instead of the iPad camera when scanning QR codes. When using the scanner there is no need to press the camera button, you can simply scan the QR code when on the PAY or ADD TO TAB screens.
We would also suggest using the socket app to get the barcodes before entering them. This ensures the correct barcode is entered and voids issues during service with unrecognised barcodes.
