If you have auto-confirm bookings enabled, guests can only select a time if a suitable table is available for the booking. If no table is available, the slot shows as unavailable.
There may be occasions when you want to keep taking booking requests even when a table can't be automatically allocated, so you can review the request and allocate manually if possible. For example, you might have tables reserved for manual allocation to give you more control over how they're used, or you may want to accept requests for smaller parties even if they fall below the table's minimum covers.
Booking request availability settings let you choose, for scenarios like these, whether guests can still submit a booking request.
To set Booking request availability, go into your back office and select Bookings > Bookings setup.

Click the Availability tab at the top of the Bookings screen.

Locate the Booking request availability section.
For each scenario, you can select whether to keep taking requests and, if so, how you would like the slot to show on the booking form.
- When no tables available - When toggled on, this will allow you to still take requests when no tables are available. This will ensure you never miss a request, but may result having to decline a lot of booking requests for busy sessions.
- Party size is below the minimum covers for the available(s) - When toggled to on, this will allow you to take requests if the number of guests is lower than the minimum covers set for the available tables.
- Multiple separate tables could accommodate the booking - When toggled to on, this will allow for you to take requests if free tables exist, but haven't yet been set up as a table joins.
- Available tables are not set to auto-allocate - When toggled to on, this will allow you to take requests for tables with auto-allocate bookings disabled.
