Twilio integration

You can connect your EPOS to Twilio to send SMS messages to your customers' mobile phones. Messages can currently be triggered for booking updates (e.g. confirmations and reminders) and loyalty campaigns.

Note: You can set up a Twilio account for free and have an initial credit to test sending SMS messages, but any messages sent with the free credit will be appended with the text 'Sent from your Twilio trial'. Before you start sending notification messages to customers you will need to upgrade your Twilio account from the free trial by adding credit. Messages will then be send without the trial text. Text messages will be charged according to Twilio's pricing.

To connect your EPOS to Twilio, from your back office dashboard select Setup > Integrations from the left hand navigation panel.

Scroll down to Twilio & click the red Connect with Twilio button.

  1. Follow the link in step 1 to create a Twilio account if you don't already have one. Then on the Twilio welcome page, click Get a Twilio phone number. You will need this number to complete the integration.
  2. Click on the Twilio console link to obtain your SID and auth token.
  3. After copying and pasting these in the required fields, press Save.

You will then be prompted to enter the phone number you were allocated by Twilio and another phone number to receive a test SMS.

Finally, click Save & send a test message to test the integration.

You can then click Go to SMS config to be taken to the booking set up page where you can set up the booking reminders you would like to send.

SMS messages for loyalty campaigns, can be sent through the loyalty campaigns module.
