Loyalty Points Promotions

You can set up promotions to reward members with extra loyalty points. These can be used to:

  • Offer extra loyalty points on certain days
  • Offer extra loyalty points for certain products
  • Offer extra loyalty points for orders over a certain value
  • Offer loyalty points based on total spend (similar to the core loyalty scheme settings)

All of the above can be for specific members, groups of members, or all members.

To set up a loyalty points promotion, add a promotion on the back office and select one of the points bonus promotions at the bottom of the type dropdown.

Then click Done.

You can now set your promotion criteria, which will vary depending on the type of loyalty points promotion you selected.

Note: You can change the type here if you realise the type you selected doesn't give you what you need.

For a percentage points bonus promotion, how many items a customer needs to buy and the multiple for the extra points they will receive e.g. for a double points promotion, buy 1 item earn 2x points.

For a fixed points bonus promotion, how many items a customer needs to buy and the fixed number of points they will receive e.g. for bonus points on ordering a particular product, buy 1 item earn 100 points.

For a percentage points bonus - min spend promotion, how much a customer needs to spend and the multiple for the extra points they will receive e.g. for a double points over a certain spend promotion, spend £30 earn 2x points.

For a fixed points bonus - min spend promotion, how much a customer needs to spend and the fixed number of points they will receive e.g. for bonus points on or over a certain spend, spend £30 earn 100 points.

For a Points per £ promotion, how much a customer will earn for every £1 spent. Points per £ promotions can be used to give different rates of points accrual on different products, at different time, or for different groups of members.

Note: If you are using a points per £ promotion to limit points accrual to certain times, products, or members, you will need to ensure your core loyalty scheme points accrual is set to earn zero points.

You can configure your loyalty points promotion in the same way as a standard discount-based promotion.

Before you can run your promotion you will need to add products to it. You may also want to specify the days and times your promotion will run.

A loyalty points promotion will automatically be linked to members, so you will need to click on the Assign members tab to link it to the members or groups it applies to.

Note: The option for only members can redeem this promotion, will be greyed out as members need to be linked.
