If a customer asks you to keep the change as a tip, or overpays on their card to leave to a tip, you can easily record this on the EPOS with the convert to tip button.
Note: If you don't take cash and would like all change payments to automatically be converted to tips you can enable this on the back office.
To record an overpayment as a tip, select the payment type and key in the total amount received, including the tip.
Then press convert to tip next to the change payment on the order.
You will see the CHANGE label, change to TIP.
The tip has now been recorded and you can close the pay screen.
You can also record tips using the tip button on the PAY screen.
