Adding categories

By default, your system will be set up with a set of categories that you are likely to need for your business. If there are additional categories you want for your business you can add more. Alternatively if there are categories which are not relevant to you, you can delete categories.

To add an additional category, log into your back office and select Products > Manage products.

Click the category where you want to create a new sub category. In this example we'll click Drinks


At the end of the last category, click the Add category button.   

Enter the name for your new sub category and click the blue Add category button.

In the Category details screen, you can:

  • Amend the Category name
  • Change the Parent category
  • Add a public description
  • Set the course
  • Assign the category to a section
  • Add a category image

If needed you can set category availability from the Advanced tab.

From this screen, you can also change the colour of the category button.

When you have finished, adding or amending any category information press the blue Done button in the bottom right of the screen.

Your new category has now been added at the end of your category list.

If your new category isn't located in the correct position you can move it.
