Redeeming points against purchases

When loyalty members have the required number of points under a loyalty scheme, they can choose to redeem these against purchases by paying for part, or all, of an order with points. When paying with points, each point counts as 1p.


To pay for part, or all, of a transaction with points go into the pay screen & select the camera icon in the top left hand corner of the screen.



Scan your members QR code. A popup box will display the member's information, including any promotions they are eligible for. In the bottom right hand corner, select the green 'Apply' button, which will link the transaction to the member and apply any relevant promotions.



You will then be taken back to the payment screen. 


If the member has enough points to be able to redeem them, you will see an option in green to redeem their points.


If a member doesn't have enough points to be able to redeem them, the button will be grey and you will see their points balance, but with no option to redeem.



Any points redeemed will be applied as a discount on the order. 


If the amount due is more than the available points, the customer will need to pay the remainder via another method.


If the points available cover the total due, no further payment will be required.



If you refund a transaction that was paid fully or partially with points, the relevant points will be added back to the members wallet.


If the member uses an Apple iPhone, they will see their new points balance on their wallet pass and will receive a push notification (if enabled) notifying them of their new points balance.
