Assigning products or categories to a sales areas

When you have created your sales areas, you can assign products and/or categories to each sales area, before setting the sales area on the device that you would like to sell these products on.

Assigning a category to a sales area

The quickest way to assign your sales areas is usually to assign a category. Doing so will enable you to apply the sales area to all of the products in the category without having to set it on each individual product.

To assign a category to a sales area, locate the category & click the Edit button under the category name.

Then click the Advanced tab, from the top of the screen.

Scroll down to the Add to a sales area field in Other advanced settings.

Click the dropdown field, to see a list of all sales area's.

Press Enter or click on the required sales area. 

You will be presented with a prompt to confirm if you would like to set the sales area on all products in the category. Click the blue Yes update sales area button to do this.

Note: If you just want to set the sales area on some of the product in the category you can click No here and then follow the steps below to set the sales area on the individual products.

Click the blue Done button from the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

Assigning products to a sales area

If you need to assign individual products to a sales area, first assign the category containing the product to the sales area, but select No when asked if you want it to apply to all products. 

Then locate the product in the category and click on it and click the Advanced tab, from the top of the screen.

Scroll down to Other advanced settings & locate Add to sales area.

Click the dropdown field, to see a list of all sales area's.

Press Enter or click on the required sales area. Then click the blue Done button at the bottom of the screen.

Repeat the above steps for any other products in the category that you want to assign to the sales area.

You can now assign each of your devices to the relevant sales area.
