Adding product templates

Product templates make it quicker to add new products to your EPOS, ensuring that measures, measurement units & order unit sizes are correct by replicating them from the template for each product created.

To create a new product template, go into your back office and select Products > Product templates from the left hand navigation.

Click the blue Add product template button, from the top left of the screen.

Type in a name for your new product template. This is the name that will appear on the Add button to add products using this template.

Then select the category (or categories) you would like this template to be linked to. Link the template to any categories you would like to add products to using this template.

To link a category, you can either choose from the dropdown list, or start typing the category name which will fetch the category up.

Click the blue Add product template, when you have assigned your category.

You can now add any details that you would like to be applied to products created using your new template. Details that are useful to include in a template are product stock settings and measures.

Note: Unless all of the products you will be creating with your template will be the same price, it is best to leave cost and sale prices blank.

If you are going to use takeout pricing with different tax rates to your eat in tax rates, you can toggle Takeout pricing to on & set a tax rate for the product template. The takeout tax rate will then be applied to each product created that is linked to the product template. The takeout price would still be set on every new product created using the template.

When you have added all the required information, scroll down to the bottom of the page & press the blue, Done button from the bottom right of the screen.

Your new product template will show in the list of templates.

When you add products to the linked category in the future you will see a button to add the products using the template.
