Setting an automatic service charge

You can set up an automatic service charge percentage that will be added to every tab, or every tab that is over a certain number of covers.

You can remove the service charge from individual tabs on the summary screen of the EPOS.

Note: If you only apply a service charge to certain tabs, and this is not based purely on number of covers, you can instead enable a manual service charge.

To set up a service charge select 'Setup', then 'EPOS, from the left hand nav of your back office.

Then click the 'Other settings' tab.

Scroll down to 'Default service charge'.

Service charge % - Enter the service charge you would like to apply in the 'Default service charge' field.

Covers - If there is a number of covers that need to be on a tab to apply the service charge enter that in the covers field. If not, leave that field blank.
