When you set up real time availability checking for bookings, you can specify the number of covers you can accommodate arriving at the same time. If this varies by booking type you can instead set a maximum number of covers on each booking type.
Then if a new booking of the specific booking type would take the number of covers arriving at the requested time over this figure, the request will show as unavailable even if you have a free table available.
To set a maximum number of covers, go into your back office & select Bookings > Bookings types from the left hand navigation.
Locate the booking type required, from the list on the left hand side & click the blue Edit button, or alternatively add a new booking type.
Locate the Availability & auto-allocation tab, then toggle Use custom arrival covers limit to On.
Enter the maximum arrival covers into the field.
Note: You will need to have realtime availability enabled for this to take affect.
Click the blue Save button.
